Temple, Texas: The 36th Annual Kiella Cares Golf Classic was hosted at Wildflower Country Club in Temple, Texas, on Monday, October 14th. The event was a resounding success, raising $136,100 for Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s Medical Center. During the opening ceremony, the funds were presented to the Baylor Scott & White Central Texas Foundation, highlighting a continued partnership between Kiella Cares, local industry partners, and the broader community.
Since its inception, the Kiella Cares Golf Classic has been dedicated to supporting McLane Children’s Medical Center, raising a total of $608,600 over the past seven years. The annual event draws participants from all over Central Texas, united in their goal to improve healthcare for children in the region. This year, the proceeds will fund the purchase of a new ambulance, a critical addition that will enhance the hospital’s ability to provide quick and efficient patient transport. With the increasing demand for transportation services, the new ambulance will help reduce response times, enable the team to handle multiple calls at once, and alleviate wear and tear on existing vehicles, ensuring reliable service for years to come.
“The addition of a new ambulance is more than just a logistical improvement—it is a lifeline for children across Central Texas,” said Megan Kiella, President of Kiella Homebuilders. “Quick and efficient transport is often critical for patients in need of specialized care, and the ability to respond rapidly can make all the difference in an emergency. By enhancing the medical center’s transport capabilities, Kiella Cares and its partners are playing a vital role in ensuring that children have access to the care they need when they need it most. The success of the Kiella Cares Golf Classic is a testament to the dedication and generosity of the many individuals and organizations who contribute to its cause. From sponsors and volunteers to the golfers who participate year after year, each person plays a part in making the event possible. Kiella Real Estate Group extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported the Golf Classic over the years, as well as to the staff and medical professionals at Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s Medical Center for their tireless work in caring for the community’s youngest and most vulnerable members.”
As the event continues to grow, the Kiella Cares Golf Classic serves as a shining example of the power of community support. Each year, it not only raises essential funds but also increases awareness of the critical needs of McLane Children’s Medical Center. This ongoing support ensures that the hospital can continue its mission of delivering high-quality, compassionate care to children and families across Central Texas.
