OUR WHY

We fundraise for the children, families, doctors, nurses, residents, and hospital staff that work tirelessly to bring wellness and hope to those in need in our community and all those supported by our local children’s hospital. The hospital maintains an ongoing list of needs that require monetary support and we want our annual fundraiser to assist with purchasing at least one of those needs each year as these items directly impact the way the doctors and nurses perform their jobs and in turn, the health and wellbeing of the patients.

OUR GOAL

This year, we are proud to support the Child Life Program at Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s Hospital, a vital program dedicated to making hospital stays less stressful and more positive for young patients and their families. The Child Life team is made up of highly trained professionals who work alongside doctors, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare providers to meet the emotional, developmental, and cultural needs of children in the hospital. They provide comfort, reduce anxiety, and create moments of joy during what can be an overwhelming time.

Our company regularly volunteers with this program and has witnessed firsthand the incredible impact it has, transforming a hospital visit into an experience filled with care, compassion, and hope. Your support will help ensure this essential program continues to thrive and bring light to children and families when they need it most.

Employees Of The Month

Lorenzo & Gigi

The McLane Children’s Pawsitive Pals program includes Lorenzo and Gigi, highly trained facility dogs from Canine Companions. With a calm and gentle presence, they bring comfort and support to patients and families during difficult medical experiences. Lorenzo works throughout the hospital with his handler, a child life specialist. His favorite place is on a patient’s bed, whether for an IV start, stiches, going to the OR, learning about a new diagnosis, or during times of grief and loss. Alongside her social work handlers, Gigi provides emotional support to patients facing mental health crises, victims of sexual assault, and children who have experienced abuse. She also offers comfort to trauma patients as well as grieving families who have experienced the loss of a child. Together, Lorenzo and Gigi help foster an environment of healing, hope and trust for patients and their families.
